Disgusting breakfast. My 5 year old could make better food, but we use quality ingredients at our house. I was taken here on a lunch date, told breakfast was their best meal and got an omelette with some unmelted american cheese on top It may have the military morning crowd, but the chow is awful, would never go back. I know it's Sorry Vista and you only get so many options, but yuck. seriously, if you can't cook some eggs to the point I can eat them, what are you doing open for business?

A great alternative to Denny's or Ihop for mornings- sadly not a 24/hr joint, but I can't blame them for that. Quality kind of decreases chronologically, I guess you could say- breakfast is phenom, lunch is pretty dang good, and dinner is okay. Prices are fantastic across the board. The service is always sweet and attentive, even in a rush hour or when you're in a hurry. My faves are the vegeta omelette and the blackberry chicken tofu salad. friggin a now I'm hungry

Always leave satisfied! Easy and simple menu/ food. Great wait staff. Always inviting and courteous. Great prices, portions, and breakfast specials!! You won't leave hungry!

Food was just ok, pretty bland. The Chicken Green Chile omelette tasted like it was canned chiles from the store poured over an omelette. Home Fries were prolly frozen from a bag. For the price, even tho it's not that expensive, just isn't really worth it. I donno why this place is rated 4.4

Good food, large portions. Great prices. $21 for three people for breakfast. Lunch was very reasonably priced. Next time we are down visiting the area we will definitely be back!

Horrible service, we waited 10 min for a menu and when we asked for them the Chinese waitress started yelling at us we will never return to this place.

This place is okay as far as breakfast goes. I really liked their hashbrowns. But the décor is tired and the servers always seem annoyed and in a rush.

Great $3.99 breakfast specials!! 6am - 10am. Awesome breakfast spot! Generous size servings of Omelettes & hash browns! Excellent Service, very attentive.

Great breakfast spot!!! The food was delicious, and you get a large portion for a cheap price. The restaurant was very quaint, welcoming, and clean. Our server was very attentive, personable, and efficient. We can't wait to go back again! For anyone who loves authentic New Mexican green chile, this place has it pretty dang close (although, it's not very spicy). I highly recommend giving it a try. If you're looking for a local spot and not a chain restaurant, this is the place for you.

Very good food I always get the special no.1 (eggs bacon toast hashbrowns) they always make it right. I love this restaurant the service is ok always friendly though. but it is great because it is not a food chain. It is local and I love it these are the same owners as mande le and that is another good restaurant. :)

I have no complaints. For 5 dollars, I had so much food that I couldn't even eat it all. It came out fast, and had an authentic taste. I'm from Virginia and happy I found a great breakfast place.

  • Kayla H.

Our favorite breakfast spot in town its always busy but service is fast! And food always comes out hot and the order is never wrong! Coffee is always fresh! And the waitresses are on top of everything and always smiling!

One of the best eating establishments in Sierra Vista for breakfast, might be great for other meals as well, but I can only speak to their breakfasts which I have had more times than I can keep track of. The service is always with a smile and very prompt. After only a couple of times eating here I felt like a regular and have never witnessed any issues with the staff and other customers. The food is good and for a good price. Some argue that you can get the same things at other places, but the places they mention are inferior in quality and service.

  • Josh B.

This is a good choice if you want a cheap and hearty meal. The service is hit or miss but the food is always good. They don't skimp on portions and have a huge menu featuring lots of healthier options too. It's definitely worth going and I recommend this place for an affordable lunch.

Great food and super fast service. Old school layout though. Nice serversposole is the bomb diggity

  • Ryan D.

Food was ok but you can get the same breakfast food at IHOP with better service. Mexican food was tasteless and better at Rodolfos. Service was horrible with lippy rude servers and very pushy!

In short: Worth the stop! Cafe' Ole is a great, quick, cheap place for breakfast. It is not a trendy breakfast spot, so please keep this in mind as I continue. My 5 star review is based on my level of satisfaction over 8 years. I've been coming here since every few years since 2006. It is run by a Filipino family, the portions are large, the menu has variety, and you won't break the bank. Actually, you'll likely end up leaving a 40% tip! The coffee is good, slightly weak, but not great. The service is consistently friendly. The portions, considering the prices, are large. Personally, in all if these years, I've never had a bad meal here. My favorite is the Special #3 - pancakes, eggs and bacon. I would describe the taste to be an improvement over Denny's or IHOP. Being a family run business, the workers enjoy what they do. It's so good, that since 2006 I've never ventured to find another breakfast spot in Sierra Vista.

Went for breakfast at around 7am. Not very crowded, but busy. Got Eggs Benedict and as I generally use the dish to judge breakfast places. Was one of the worst I've had. Only good thing I can say about it was they used proper ham, rather than Canadian bacon. The hollandaise sauce was the worst and the hash browns were barely cooked. I won't be going back! Even Denny's is better than this place, despite the local ownership.

This was my second time visiting...first time was decent. This time was pretty bad.. Server kept rushing me to order, and then was very inattentive. I ordered the chorizo omelette. And I had to drain the grease from it with 2 napkins.. I may visit again. Not sure..

Sierra Vista doesn't have any real nice or good places to eat, but this is a top 5 for the area.

  • Suzanne M.

Café ole has the best salads in Sierra Vista. Portions are generous and the wait staff make it a point to learn your name and make you feel at home. They have a very large menu if salad isn't your thing.

One of the more popular breakfast/lunch options in town, Caffe Ole is a bit of a local institution. That said, it may be popular with the locals, but if you're in town visiting, let the locals keep it to themselves and go find yourself a better option. It is a passable restaurant, but there are some issues that prevent me from recommending it. Service: 2/5 Busy or empty, early or late, breakfast or lunch... I have never had good service at Caffe Ole. I don't know where exactly the fault lies, and it doesn't seem to matter how busy they are or what time of day it is. Getting refills is like pulling teeth, and some days you may pass out from hunger before your food gets to you. And bad service can put a damper on your meal, no matter how good or bad the food itself might be. Food: 3/5 And in this case, the food simply isn't that good to begin with. I have to give them credit for one thing though. Their menu is huge. If you can't find something on there that meets what you're looking for, I'm not sure what to tell you. The problem is, whatever you order, it probably isn't going to be all that good. Much of their food has that "straight from the package" flavor that tells me it was just whipped out of a bag, can, tin or some other storage device. You can get a "frozen" breakfast at McDonald's for a lot less if that is all you are in the mood for. Overall Impressions: 2/5 I'm not one to be impressed with fancy decor, but there is something to be said for at least putting a little effort into what your facility looks like. Caffe Ole basically doesn't try at all. There is little on the walls, everything is very plain and "institutional looking." You don't need to make it look like the Taj Mahal, but the cracking tables, peeling paint, and other issues make it look like they don't really care much at all. And if that's the care you take with your building, what does it potentially say about what is going on in the kitchen? "You eat first with your eyes," doesn't only apply to what you see on the plate.

I have eaten here only three times. The second and third time the waitress recognized me. I was there once for breakfast and it was good solid American breakfast as a great price. Twice I was there for lunch and had one of their many salad offerings each time. The salads are huge with generous portions of meat and very fresh ingredients. The good is great the service is quick and very friendly. It reminds me of the small town cafe where I grew up and that is a good thing. I keep going back to work through their entire salad page. I have not had a bad meal at this place yet. The prices are great and the service is THE BEST! I love the Oriental Grilled Steak Salad.

Excellent breakfast. Very good coffee. Husband loved the sausage. I had the green chili omelet --just a little spicy-perfect. The service was very fast and friendly. Certainly beats Denny's

If I was giving stars based on the food, I would have given it 5 stars. I have eaten more times than I can remember. This is just a small cafe tucked back in a little business strip off our main road. The decor is basically absent. Just tables, front cashier area and cooks area. They have two dinning rooms. We always sit in the front one. The restroom is part of the supply room. This is not a fancy place by any means but it is often packed with customers! The staff is mostly oriental women that are very very prompt and nice. There's a German lady that has been there 20 years that we really like. My father (76 yrs old) & I have the pancakes with 2 eggs,2 pieces of bacon $ a sausage. I do not eat meat so they replace my meat with hash browns. We use sugar free syrup. They don't mind altering the menus to fit your eating needs. The coffee is ALWAYS fresh and hot. The total cost for most our meals there are around $14.00 , and we give them a $20 bill to include a tip. If you go before 10am the same meal we got is under $4.00! So to sum it up- good food, good prices , nice people, but in a little dive building!

First off if you are visiting don't come here expecting ambiance. This is the local place for a great breakfast, where the waitresses somehow remember you if you come in more than twice (word to the wise unless you are over 65 avoid sitting in the older waitresses areas, same with the guy). Service is quick here, and I mean quick ( I've never waited longer than 10 min for food at the busiest, unless you have one of the older ladies or dude ). So they can come off as pushy if its your first time. The egg sandwich is simple and just so tasty :). Lunch is okay Just stick with the sandwiches, I however have to admit I've never tried their dinner entrees, they don't call to me. Another great choice is the salads whatever your style they have one for you.

tip: go here instead of denny's this joint is 5 times better than denny's because of it's big tasty portions and the fact that it is a local joint in sv is a must visit. the waitresses are all asians which is refreshing to see in a small military town. french toast and the omeletes are very tasty. they also have specials in the morning.

    (4)
  • Matt H.

This place has great food. I've been to it about 5 times now since I moved to SV and they've always done well for breakfast and lunch. You get plenty of food for the money. The only reason they didn't get a 5 is because sometimes they're wait staff are a little slow to respond and even though the restaurant has a home town feel to it, it seems a little dirty. Other than that, the staff are friendly and I'll happily go back for a good meal there.

  • Sks J.

Well, first of all I find this place a great place to go have breakfast, lunch, or dinner with friends or a family get together. The menu is loaded which gives you a whole lot of options. I have to say the food came out too fast which would normally suggest its just heated in the microwave.

    (3)
  • Jack P.

I had an omelet and it was awesome. The meal came with hashbrowns and a biscuit and I couldn't even touch the hashbrowns because I was so full. The omelet was more of a skillet with a layer of egg on the outside but very fulfilling. One negative thing is the same thing other people have posted, I had to flag down the server to get me a refil on my soda. He took our order brought our food and if it were up to him just brought us the check and been done. The greeting staff was very good and welcoming. The last positive thing I have to write is my wife and I ate for under $17!!! To sum it up, good food for a good price outwieghs the somewhat non existant service.

This place is a great place to eat at for an early and cheap breakfast before work, or really anytime. I can't comment on anything but their breakfasts, but usually you get a pretty decent breakfast, and if you go there early they have breakfast specials for 3.99 a piece. You can get two eggs, bacon, hash browns, and a bread (toast, muffin, etc), for example. They have other specials as well such as two pieces of French Toast, eggs, and bacon for the same price. Service is usually quick and the food is usually done right. Obviously you aren't getting gourmet for 3.99 and sometimes I've had to send eggs back because they were too runny and needed cooked longer, but for the money you can't beat this place.

If you want cheap breakfast that tastes pretty good, come here! Fast, friendly service and good about refilling your coffee.

  • Jose N.

I usually come have breakfast here once a week on Saturday or Sunday. The service and food are great. You have to kind of ignore the fact that the place looks a little old. It's old, but not unsanitary. Other reviews are correct, the service is usually really fast. Your food will be out before you blink. It's not the best breakfast food I've ever had, but it tastes more homemade than IHOP or Denny's. All in all, I enjoy my weekly trip here.

  • Joel N.

Cafe Ole is a solid 4 stars, especially considering the prices. Yes, everything is probably ready-made, but I don't expect free-range organic food for 6 dollars a plate. The service was very good even on a packed weekend morning.

  • Scott T.

We kind of were the back end of an unexpected rush on a Wednesday morning but I still didn't like waiting twenty minutes to get recognized and served a coffee, I think they could have done better. Fortunately for them I found the food tasty (especially the french toast) and I liked the place much better than Ivey's...

    (3)
  • Joon B.

Pancakes and French toast is not to be missed. High quality bacon and sausage patties. Friendly service. I was skeptical of all of these mom & pop places in such a small town, but this place is legit

  • Tim G.

3 Stars because; Breakfast is amazing, other meals not. Hard to screw up breakfast though... You can come here for breakfast almost every morning and it will be packed. They will get to you when they get to you but it is worth it for sure. It is one of those places that has been hyped up for something awesome in the past and now is just okay. Where they fail and fail hard is lunch/non breakfast. It is like going to a cafeteria where the food has been frozen and quickly cooked then served. Some places can get away with this, not Cafe Ole. When you can taste shortcuts, I won't every try it again. For those reasons, we rarely get to this joint, maybe a few times a year.

  • Savannah P.

At first sight this place seems a little run down. Walking in the decor is out dated and the booths, tables, chairs and highchairs are old and dingy. They have a huge menu with tons of options. I had the french toast with eggs, sausage and bacon and it was so yummy, and cheap. As previous posts have stated the service is not the greatest but as long as I enjoy my meal I really don't need a server bugging me every five minutes to make sure I'm doing ok. We will definitely be headed back for breakfast soon.

    (4)
  • Master B.

This is a long time favorite of mine. I can always count on great food and great service. Portion sizes are big. I really can't complain, other than the tables and booths are beginning to show their wear. I usually come in for breakfast, but can be seen here for lunch ordering one of their sandwiches. I love the Santa Fe. Terrific!

  • Ryan A.

Mehh. Don't really see the hype about this place. We went for Sunday brunch and idk but the food tasted like it came out a frozen package or something. Yes the menu is HUGE! if you don't find something you like then Gtfo lol really you can't come to a place like this that has a 6 page menu and NOT find something you will like. I honestly like a review before mine get lost like no other when there is so many things to choose from on a menu. Lol that's just me. As far as the place it self. It's extremely bland. Almost nothing on the walls with a old 80s looking paint to it. Mehh whatever I go to eat not judge on the scenery. Prices pretty cheap. There omelets are pretty decent so try one if you manage to make it for breakfast/brunch

I must say this is by far the best breakfasts restaurant in SV. My wife and I just finished eating and the money we spent was well worth it. Very cheap and the food was excellent. Will eat here again.

my husband loves this place. my parents love this place. my baby brother LOVES this place. i, however, do not love this place. i just...go to this place..sometimes...when i'm forced to. i will never be the one to suggest this place. true, the prices are good and the food is decent, but i have my own crazy reasons for not diggin the place. 1. i hate menus that are this big. i am SUPER indecisive, and places that have a six page menu fuck me up. srsly, i have to go in with *something* in mind...like, hmmm, i want a turkey sandwich...don't worry, they will have a whole section which fits your wishes...you just have to slog thru a whole page of shit to find something that sounds right. 2. the service is crappy every time i go...they are friendly, they just ignore the hell out of you. they get your drinks, take your order and then bring it out. you do not see them any other time. SUPER FRUSTRATING. especially when i end up with ice in my drink (big shocker there...i don't get what is so HARD about this concept) and have to wait twenty minutes for an ice free refreshment. 3. i think it's shitty for a "breakfast restaurant" to not have that random little weekly handout with funny stories & comics. i love that thing! i need something to distract myself with while i'm waiting half an hour for my fucking sandwich. srsly...pass out some crayons or something. their french fries are super tasty, and the hubby loves their omelets, but otherwise, i srsly could go without eating here again. for the rest of my life. if i'm that lucky.

What's sunday without breakfast? My last one was here. First impression was it was a good old local diner dive, in a good way. For me it's all about biscuits any gravy. So I ordered biscuits and gravy, eggs sunny side up and sausage. Biscuits were very good with a blanket of pretty good white sausage gravy. The gravy could of used a little more sausage and pepper for my taste. Eggs were perfectly to my request. The down side to the meal was the sausage. It just was dry with not much flavor at all. The good service was a plus. I will return.

  • Cristina L.

Caffe Ole is...ok. What's best, as many have mentioned is their huge menu and the food is inexpensive. I had the Santa Fe Sunrise breakfast (I think that's what it was called)-two enchiladas, shredded beef and chicken, with a mountain of egg, re-fried beans, and a tortilla. I sure wish this was home made because it probably would have been delicious-everything tasted canned. While Caffe Ole is probably one of the better options in Sierra Vista, I think next time I'll make my way to Bisbee.

The worst service I have had in years and disappointing food. We went for the first time today and will not be going back. The waitress was rude from the minute we walked in the door. She didn't ask us what we wanted to drink. I ordered a sandwich which the menu says comes with a choice of fries, soup or salad. The waitress did not ask me which I would like, so I asked what soups they had. She seemed irritated and told me two choices. I could not hear her, so I asked again. This time she answered with one soup choice! I elected a salad and did not realize until after she left that she did not even ask a choice of dressing. My salad came to the table with ranch. I asked if they had some kind of vinaigrette and the waitress begrudgingly switched dressing. There were four in our party. We got 2 sets of silverware... The bottom of my sandwich was completely soggy, I am not sure if it was grease, pickle juice, etc... I elected not to find out.

It's Sierra Vista ! For a small town Caffe Ole is a stop I make everytime I am in Sierra Vista. The food quality and service is very consistent. They have a good selection of items on the menu. I would definitely recommend it as the best breakfast stop in town.

Color me surprised and impressed. I went mostly because of its proximity to my hotel and the lukewarm reviews set my expectations to meh. The green chili sausage omellette arrived quickly but its rubbery off putting texture earned it a return ticket to the kitchen. And yet you're thinking - what the hell, this is a four star review?!? The eggs had been over beaten so were full of air bubbles then cooked in a cool pan, hence yellow egg flavored neoprene. They took the plate back and happily and let me order some huevos rancheros. The plate was good - over medium eggs smothered in a fair salsa verde (well cooked over medium eggs! - gold star). The omelette was off the bill and the waitress checked to make sure I liked my new order without any attitude. I'd go again.

Cafe Ole of Sierra Vista has friendly and fast service. The food is affordable with large portions. My favorite is the cheeseburger and French fries with ranch dressing. My husband loves their breakfast items. They have won awards for best breakfast in Sierra Vista. I eat at this little diner everytime I visit my family.

I've only been once so far, but am definitely going back. And I'll be honest, they surprised me. I really wasn't expecting much, but they got me with their Hawaiian Salad. They use a house Hawaiian dressing that is out of this world!

If your into good food at great prices, this is the place to go for breakfast. The selection's great, everything's made to order and quickly served by a friendly staff. You're sure to find "regulars" here. A Sierra Vista favorite.
